The Mawson Centre

The Mawson Centre, named after Sir Douglas Mawson, is an innovative facility designed to promote community learning. It is celebrated as a symbol of a new kind of community engagement in Adelaide's north.

The Centre, which opened its doors to the community on 19 May 2005, is situated overlooking the Sir Douglas Mawson Lake, adjacent to the University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes campus and the Town Centre.

Residents and workers in Mawson Lakes have the opportunity to attend classes, activities an community events that either take place or are based within the Mawson Centre.
